Information Management Services

IMSD's objectives are to support Milwaukee County's technology needs of the 21st century and lead the development and execution of an IT strategy that accelerates Milwaukee County's leadership in the state.

 

Applications Services provides services to all county departments in the form of identifying needs, design, development, support and training for a diverse group of customers within the county.

 

Technology Services manages the county wide data, voice and radio communication systems and provides services in the form of research, acquisition, installation, maintenance, training and support of multi-department, complex operating systems, and diverse hardware and software.

 

The Distribution area provides mail services Countywide.  Records Management provides oversight of the off-site retention of departmental records.

 

Administrative Support Services provides overall direction, coordination and planning for effective fiscal management and policy compliance, and support of IMSD's operating requirements.

 

The Information Technology Steering Committee is an advisory body to establish priorities, allocation and direction of IT resources and funding.
