MISSION STATEMENT: To provide circuit courts, attorneys and members of the general public with courteous, professional and proficient services that facilitate proceedings for the administration of decedent's estates, testamentary trusts, guardianships, protective placements, civil mental health commitments and other related proceedings within the Circuit Courts and/or the Register in Probate Office.
The Clerk of Circuit Court staff assigned to the Probate Division, keeps a record, in full, of all Wills admitted to probate and those filed for safekeeping, review and process professional vouchers, process appeals to the 1st District of Wisconsin Court of Appeals, prepare and maintain court records through the Consolidated Court Automation Program (CCAP) and maintain court files for all probate matters.
